of Boca Grande, Cayo Costa, Gasparilla Island and Venice.

Fish the lush grass flats of Charlotte Harbor for Tarpon, Redfish, Snook and Sea trout, 
or just wade an outside flat and throw plugs or cast flies to tailing redfish or laid up Tarpon.

Pole along the mangroves in the Back country and search for 
Snook, Redfish and Tarpon or marauding black tip sharks.
Run off the beach to outside wrecks for Permit and Amberjack.

The Bigger One Got Away :)

Sightfishing for Reds in the backcountry has picked up and is starting to turn on.  Along with the winter negative tides we are finding more tailers on the flats.  Trout fishing is good in the holes and on the deeper grass flats.  There are Spanish Mackerel on the beach at this time and some Kingfish just offshore. 
The weather is beautiful and is a great time to visit the area.

TARPON SEASON
Now is the time to book Tarpon, don't get shutout.  Last year was one of the best Tarpon seasons
we have had with many fish over 100. The biggest was a 170lb monster. Call for availability and 
dates as they are filling up quickly. 

I supply all Fly Rods, Reels, Flies, and licenses for your convenience.  We will use all Loomis Pro 1 one-piece rods in 10-12 wts.  This year they will be loaded with Scientific Anglers "New Mastery Textured Series Fly Lines"  These lines cast further and are easy to handle due to the new finish 
that SA has incorporated. They are seriously smooooooth! My clients who have thrown them 
are getting 10 to 15 feet more distance on average.
