Fish the lush grass flats of Charlotte Harbor for Tarpon, Redfish, Snook and Sea trout, or just wade an outside flat and throw plugs or cast flies to tailing redfish or laid up Tarpon.

The Bigger One Got Away :)

The tarpon fishing on the beach has slowed with a few fish still making the way up north. The good news is the backcountry tarpon has improved with a 120lb and 130lb being taken last week on flies.  Snook fishing at night is terrific and the beach snook is the best it has been in four or five years.  Redfish has improved on the east side of the harbor and trout are good on the deeper grass flats.... all in all, there are lots of fish to be caught .

Tarpon 2009 Booking.  I have three weeks of primetime flyfishing for tarpon left between May 15th and June 15th.  This is absolutely the best flyfishing tarpon time anywhere including the Keys.  We have beach fishing that is unsurpassed, and backcountry fish that eat flies.  I will put you in front of a lot of Tarpon with the right flies and equipment that will almost assuredley guarantee you success.  These special days are for intermediate to advanced fly fishers only.  Beginners will only get frustrated seeing these monster Tarpon.
