Decades on the water

Captain Al grew up in Long Beach California fly fishing for Bonito, Albacore, Blue Shark, Makos, Yellowtail, Calico Bass, Surf Perch and basically anything that swam in the Pacific. 

Fly fishing the Baja for 30 years catching Dorado, Yellowfin Tuna, Rooster-fish, Marlin and Wahoo. Captain Al moved to Reno, Nevada in 1977 and fished all over the Sierra Nevada range including Hot Creek, Truckee River, Fall River, Pyramid Lake, Davis Lake, American River for Steelhead and Shad, Sacramento River for Shad and Delta for Stripers. Captain Al fishes the Bahamas for Bonefish and Tarpon every year. Captain Al also fishes Alaska and British Columbia for Coho and Large Trout. 

Captain Al has guided in Boca Grande full time since 2004 after traveling to the Boca Grande area for many years prior.

Fly Fishing Is My Passion

Fishing the pristine waters of Boca Grande, Charlotte Harbor and the backcountry is a new thrill everyday. Each day is different as are the different species of fish we encounter. Bring your own equipment or use mine. I will tie your flies for the days fishing, make your leaders and provide an Action-Craft 1720 skift to fish from. I try to ensure your trip is above-all FUN and gratifying, showing you all the tricks of the trade to have a productive day.
